The Moonship is the mini version of our Starship, which is an update on our 2010 Flying Phi design – a simple triangle shape with an extreme handle-heavy balance intended to address the balance limitations of the Shur-knife. The Moonship is just over 9 inches long – a light and petite knife that is ideal for smaller hands and ‘snappy’ no-spin techniques.

I’m surprised I’m the first to review these. They are amazing – if you are into slightly lighter knives, I would say these are basically the perfect no spin knife. I have not tried them for rotational throwing so I can’t comment on that. I was concerned that they may be too light for me but they are just right. Everything about the design and craftsmanship is of the highest quality. They are, of course, incredibly durable. I have a feeling that these will become my “main knife.”

I’m one of the world’s worst throwers, but this knife almost makes throwing easy. Good, solid stick on a no-spin throw. Impressed enough that I just ordered two more.

I had brought Arrows and Talisman knives and they were fine for no spin but I had felt that their lengths were a bit long for me. Until now, I had bought and tried Moonship knives. They are perfect for my throws at 5 meters stick like bullets at each throw. Very well balanced and length, they were and are perfect for me. I will buy more of them in the near future.

Super light and snappy, but will stick great even at weird angles. I normally throw the starships for competitions and these help me “push myself” during practice. No slop accepted, the shorter length requires a cleaner release. This translates to the lengthier knives, and assists your ability to keep them stable during longer throws.

I’ve only been throwing for 6 months or so just with very cheap thinner knives I bought 4 moonship knives and man oh man there good I’ve improved so much with a well made, balanced throwing knife 10 out of 10 from me 🤙

The moon ship is a fabulous bit of steel. I instantly found it easy to use and easy to make the necessary adjustments. Hits solid and is perfect for SKANF techniques as well as other principles. I have another, more expensive no spin knife, but this one overshadows it in a couple of ways, # 1 being quality. I will need more of these. Flying Steel’s quality is the way to go.

This is my first Flying Steel knife! The steel and build are of elite quality, and the profiling along the spine is perfection. STRONG tip and overall design. I love it for no spin and reverse grip.
