Maintenance Plan

All throwing knives require periodic maintenance. If at any time your Flying Steel items require maintenance, please submit a request here – our maintenance plan covers all non-cosmetic problems. ‘Blacktag’ items are not covered by a maintenance plan.

The maintenance plan covers all non-cosmetic problems as follows:

Tip Damage
Buyer is responsible for return shipping back to Flying Steel. Flying Steel will repair the tip by regrinding the knife. Tip damage is defined as any problem half-inch or closer to the tip.

Broken Body
Flying Steel pays for return shipping. Buyer must provide proof of purchase. Flying Steel will offer store credit equal to Buyer’s purchase price.

Bent Body
Flying Steel pays for return shipping. Buyer must provide proof of purchase. Flying Steel will decide to either repair or offer store credit equal to Buyer’s purchase price.

The maintenance plan does NOT include free restoration for the finish, surface damage, scratches, corrosion, or handles. However, restoration services are available. See throwing knife use and care to understand more about the durability of our knives.
